RenCAN Learn

Our workshops bring together local community groups, residents, and third sector organisations to explore practical, achievable ways to tackle climate challenges right here in our communities. Combining community development with a service design approach, these sessions help you set meaningful goals and take actionable steps.
What to Expect:
-
Learn Together: Understand different types of climate action that can make a real difference in your community.
-
Take Action: Walk away with clear, focused goals and practical steps to get started.
-
Real Impact: In our pilot sessions, some groups found renewed direction and overcame internal hurdles, aligning their teams and making meaningful progress on their climate initiatives.
Our facilitator Scott Duncan has 20+ years of community development experience with a significant focus on community based climate actions well as being an approved Trainer and Associate Member of IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment). Scott is not coming to the sessions as the ‘expert in the room’, as his approach is to help your community group identify where you can develop your capacity around sustainability and climate action.
How to Join:
We offer these workshops to existing community groups and can arrange sessions at times that work best for you. Course availability is limited, so if you are considering climate action in Renfrewshire, then please get in touch soon to avoid missing this free opportunity.
